Alabama TERT Mission Statement

To provide a network of public safety telecommunicators , associated personnel and equipment in support of emergency communications centers and/or public safety answering points before, during and after man-made or natural disasters or operations support when deemed appropriate by Alabama-TERT

ALTERT Organizational Goals

1. Augment PSAP’s staffing in times of need planned or unplanned events

2. Provide professional communications and technical assistance

3. Plan and train for any event where PSAPs could require assistance 

4. Always maintain a productive working relationship with the agencies we support

 

ALTERT Developmental Goals

1. Create a phased approach for the creation and future advancements of the ALTERT

2. Develop SOGs and methods approving and updating.  

3. Build workable divisions or zones of the State to more efficiently provide the necessary training and or deployment of teams.
